Required documents to prepare at the time of registration

  • Seal registration certificate 1 original

The seal certificate has a expiration date of 3 months. Please prepare the one within one month from the issuance in case of emergency.

* 1 If the owner and user of the car are different, one copy will be required for each owner and user, and a total of two seal stamp certificates will be required.

* 2 If there is a trade-in vehicle, one copy (owner) of the trade-in vehicle will be required separately, and the actual seal will be stamped and stamped separately on the transfer form.

  • power of attorney

Please stamp your seal in the delegator column and sign your name and address.

In addition, please stamp the blank part of the power of attorney with a real seal.

* If the owner and user of the car are different, please sign and seal each of them.

In addition, you can leave the person in charge, the details of the delegation, etc. blank. If you have a trade-in vehicle, you will need another one as above.

About applying for and obtaining a garage certificate

Please obtain the garage certificate by yourself.

The application form differs depending on the prefecture, so you can prepare it at the police station under your jurisdiction.

(We also accept applications for a fee, so please contact us if you wish.)

How to get a garage certificate:

 

1: Securing storage space (parking lot)

First, prepare or secure a parking lot to store your car. If you can secure a place at home, apply for the parking lot as the base location,

If you are not at home, you will need to subscribe to a monthly parking lot. The storage location must meet the following conditions.

1. 1. Easy access from the road

2. 2. The entire vehicle fits in the storage area

3. 3. The storage location must be within 2 km of the base of use (home for individuals, office location for corporations) in a straight line.

4. Do not obtain duplicate garage certificates at the same location (temporary duplication such as when replacing is not a problem)

   

2: Preparation of documents

Next, you will need to prepare the necessary documents to obtain a garage certificate.

The application documents can be obtained at the police station or the Land Transport Bureau where the parking lot is located, but as specified above.

The form differs depending on each prefecture, so please check before filling in.

Recently, you can download it from the homepage of the police in each prefecture, so please use that as well.

The application form is the following three points.

  • Vehicle storage location certification application / storage location mark issuance application (* When you receive it at the counter, it may be a copy type set.) Vehicle information (vehicle name, model, model) that we will inform you in advance. Fill in and seal the "Vehicle Storage Location Certification Application" and "Storage Location Mark Issuance Application" based on the chassis number and size of the vehicle.

  • Storage location use right clarification document (self-certification) or storage location use consent certificate (approval) In the case of a self-owned parking lot (home garage, etc.), storage location location usage right clarification document (self-certification) " Fill in and seal by yourself. In the case of a parking lot owned by another person (monthly parking lot, etc.) , you will need to obtain a "Certificate of Consent to Use Storage Location (Consent Form)" from the parking lot lender or management company.

  • Form to fill in the location map / layout map For the location map, there is no problem in printing out a scale map (Yahoo, Google, etc.) that allows you to check the route from the nearest station to the storage location. Please refer to the following entry example for the layout plan. * Please note that if the parking lot is smaller than the car, the examination will not pass.

    * If you rent a parking lot, the lender may prepare it for you.

  

3: Submit documents to the police station in charge

When all the above documents are complete, submit them to the police station in charge of the parking lot location.

The application costs about 2,000 yen, and the procedure will be completed in about 2 to 4 business days. (At the time of submission, the scheduled delivery date will be specified)

4: Receive the documents issued by the police station

After the garage certificate issuance date, go to the police and pay a delivery fee of 500 yen to issue the garage certificate.

Please hand the garage certificate issued to us for submission to the Land Transport Bureau together with your seal certificate and power of attorney.
